Substituted Poly(Vinylphosphonate) Coatings of Magnetite Nanoparticles and Clusters

Magnetite nanoparticles and clusters of have been Increasing scientific interest in the past decades. In order to prepare that are stable suspension, different coatings used. Phosphates phosphonates a preferred anchoring group for coating magnetite nanomaterials. However, poly(vinylphosphonates) rarely used as agent any nanoparticles. Here, poly(methylvinylphosphonate) other substituted polyvinylphosphonates described new clusters. They show great stability aqueous suspension. This is also first time phosphonate-coated synthesized one-pot polyol reaction. The coated characterized by TEM, EDX, FTIR, magnetization measurement, XRD well XPS. It has shown vinylphosphonates can be easily one-step procedures polymeric imbue important properties such tight binding particle surface, ability further functionalized or tightly adsorb metal ions. For synthesis cluster formation, polymerization done reaction resulting higher amount phosphonate than with three-step procedure including ligand exchange.
